情けなか・・・_e0014447_3205350.jpg

INWOOD THEATRE

情けなか・・・_e0014447_40343.gif

Oh my god!!!

情けなか・・・_e0014447_402373.gif

情けなか・・・_e0014447_412583.jpg で、また映画の話に戻って・・・

---English Version---

情けなか・・・_e0014447_5264526.jpgI saw a movie “mad hot Ballroom” the other day.(Please check the Trailer in the web site. That is cute!)
I saw a movie at a movie theatre after a long interval, and I got excited about just going there.
The Theatre now having the movie is Inwood Theatre which is on Lovers lane. I had heard the name often for a very cool place to go. The area is very cool. And I went there and knew that

It is very old!

I read the history of Inwood theatre, and it says it was built in 1949. At that time it was a cutting edge movie theater in Dallas. Now it is historical and a work of art. Real movie lover must be loving that place, I guess.
And without exception, almost all historical buildings have the stories.

The stories of Ghost.

Inwood Theater seems have some, too. Some people can see them at #2 theatre or the hallway when they are alone at very late night.
I have been got used to the ghost thing and now I don’t afraid so much. In Harry Potter we have some ghost characters floating anytime. Because Halloween is getting nearer, we will hear this kind of stories a lot more.

As for the movie, it is good!!! It is a huge fun!
It is a documentary and we don’t see the planned comical stuff in it. The kids and people themselves make us laugh and cry. Sometimes kids make a very funny comment seriously like kids always do.
And I enjoyed the way Americans around me in the theatre react each scene.
When we heard funny comments from the kids,

They laughed furiously!

When we had very emotional scene,

They immediately started to cry….

They repeated this many times. Especially a lady next me reacted so much.
They can express their emotions so straight! I guess this is one of the reason Americans are always full of energy.

Going back to about the movie…
This is a documentary film about how kids in several NY public schools learn to dance ballroom dance. In NY, after 911, they started to teach ballroom dance to 11 year-old-kids in NY public school.

情けなか・・・_e0014447_537229.jpg Because it is NY, there are a lot of races and cultures, more than other cities. Each kid bears his/her own special background. Immigrants, single parent, or so. During the process of learning ballroom dance, they speak about themselves what they are thinking about themselves or opposite sex, or their future.

情けなか・・・_e0014447_5382051.jpgAnd there are emotional connections between kids and teachers. The movie itself doesn’t try to say something to us or convince us anything, but we the people who are watching it can understand it our own way with our own background.
It was good movie.

There is one thing I learned this time.
When we reached at the theatre, the movie was already started and it was dark inside. So we just picked the seats and sat. They were a little front side from the middle.
Because movie was so much fun, I laughed a lot and I was so into the movie. But I noticed slight change in me. I started to get a cold sweat and have a lot of yawn…

I got sick…

I am very weak against motion for the first place, and the movie was documentary and documentary film moves a lot. I left the room 10 minutes before the ending and sitting in front of bathroom to be ready to go there anytime. Too bad!
So the one thing I learned is

We shouldn’t have seat in front part.

Be careful everyone!
Or that kind of weak person is just me?? Maybe?
