There is an old music venue on Greenville Ave. in Dallas. Granada Theater.
I love this place. It is very old, but it is not just old. It was opened 1940's, and
it was an movie theater at that time. I was so impressed to hear that people
saw Roman Holiday there! There still have ArtDeco design on some parts of it,
and the murals were designed by the artist(s) who also did Los Angeles’ famous Grauman’s Chinese Theater. I love the sound system there, too. They let us
to hear very balanced clear sound of the music and even when the artists play very
loudly, the sound is not uncomfortable. I do not like loud sound, but I am OK
with it at the theater.
The head liner of the day was Mogwai, instrumental band from Scotland.
The opening band was Errors, who were also from Scotland and instrumental.
I heard Errors for the first time, and I loved it. And I loved how they talked.
They did not talk much, but I liked to see them saying "thank you" after each
music finished. Well-mannered. I like that.
